Learn with Little Town Academy

Little Town Academy implements The Reading Corner curriculum. This curriculum was written and developed by a Florida teacher after she was unable to find a curriculum rigorous enough to meet the needs of her students. Reading Corner was developed after extensive research was conducted on early childhood education and development. The curriculum focuses on teaching fundamental literacy and math concepts through engaging, hands-on learning. The Reading Corner curriculum is widely known for its success in preparing children for Kindergarten. 

It is the mission of the Reading Corner to provide a curriculum that meets the following criteria:

• Developmentally appropriate
• Meets the objectives developed by the Teaching Strategies Gold
• Provides not only an opportunity to expose children to high quality activities, but also allows the activities to be a social platform for parents to engage with their children

The Reading Corner curriculum will be implemented at Little Town Academy in the two year old, three year old, and VPK classrooms.
